Manage Quarantine Messages in Barracuda
At DMC Global, we utilize Barracuda mail filtering to scan all external email for security. As a user, you will receive a daily email digest containing information regarding any messages blocked or quarantined by Barracuda.
Messages blocked by Barracuda usually contain malware. Releasing blocked messages can only be done by IT. You must submit a ticket to IT to release blocked messages.
Quarantined messages can be released directly from your daily Barracuda Quarantine Notification email. You can release the email for delivery by clicking “Deliver” on the right of the digest email as shown in the picture below. If this email is from a sender that you will regularly receive emails from, use the “Whitelist” option on the right side of the digest email as shown in the picture below. The deliver option will only deliver this individual email whereas whitelisting will allow the individual email as well as any future emails from the address to be delivered.

The manage quarantine button will show a few customization options for your individual mailbox, most notably the “sender policy” tab allowing you to view whitelisted or allowed email addresses as well as blocked email addresses for your mailbox.
The view message log button will take you to see all messages that have gone through the Spam filter and allows options for filtering and adjusting the view to see emails that have come in and been delivered, quarantined, or blocked depending upon which filter is selected.
